Sound healing Fridays and star mapping

Hi there. The singing bowls were still warm from the morning session when I stepped outside and the Santa Fe light did that thing it does in late afternoon, turning adobe into something almost soft. I am Samuel, fifty-one, sound healer and astrological guide, still learning how to let a workday end without turning the quiet into another project. This is a simple report from a week of sessions, star mapping, and one honest conversation with self-doubt that did not get the last word. Until next time is my usual farewell. Tonight it also means until the next clear sky. What the room held Monday and Friday are sound healing days on my calendar. People arrive carrying shoulders that look like they have been arguing with email. I do not fix them. I make a field of tone and let the body remember it has options. Crystal bowls, breath, a few words when words help, silence when words would be

noise. One client cried without explaining. I handed water and did not ask for a story. Not every release needs a narrative arc. My innocent archetype wants every moment to mean hope. Sometimes hope is just the fact that a person could put their feet on the floor of my room and leave a little lighter. I still struggle to name harsh realities without floating above them. This week I practiced saying: this grief is real, and it does not need a silver lining on demand. The bowls can hold dissonance. So can I, with practice. After sessions I wipe the bowls, open a window, and eat something with protein. Mystical work still runs on blood sugar. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Star mapping under New Mexico sky Wednesday night I took the chart board outside. No performance. Just me, a red light, and the familiar argument between city glow and actual stars. Star mapping for me is not only

clients. It is how I remember I am small in a way that steadies me. I traced a pattern I have drawn a hundred times and still found a line I had been lazy about. Laziness in chart work looks like repeating a stock phrase because it is comfortable. I rewrote the phrase in my notebook until it sounded like a person, not a pamphlet. A younger practitioner messaged me asking how to make readings more magical. I said make them more accurate and more kind. Magic that cannot survive kindness is theater. Theater has its place. It is not the same as guidance. Saturday night mapping was windy. I lasted twenty minutes and called it enough. Enough is a spiritual skill. Overgiving is not holiness. It is a boundary problem with better branding. Tai Chi invitation and the fear under the yes I received an invitation to lead Tai Chi at a desert retreat. I felt joy and then the old Minnesota quiet fear:

what if I am not enough once people see me move slowly in public. I said yes anyway, then scheduled practice like a professional instead of waiting for confidence to arrive as a feeling. Confidence for me is often just repetition wearing clean clothes. I will prepare. I will not pretend I am twenty. I will teach what my body knows at fifty-one. Work and personal life are still a live puzzle. This week I blocked one evening with no clients and no content. I cooked. I listened to music without analyzing the intervals. The universe is a symphony, yes. Sometimes you are allowed to hear it without conducting. What I offer, without the brochure voice If you come for sound healing, come as you are. If you come for a chart, bring a real question, not a test. I will meet you with warmth and I will not invent certainty where pattern is all we have. I am expanding retreat offerings carefully.

Careful is not fear. Careful is respect for other peoples nervous systems and my own. The book on energy healing is still a stack of chapters that need honesty more than adjectives. I wrote four pages this week that I did not hate. That is progress. Photography walked with me on a short trail near town. No clients in the frame. Just light on dry grass. I kept one image. The rest can stay in the camera roll as private gratitude. Closing If your week was loud, try one measured practice: five minutes of listening without fixing. Bowls optional. Sky optional. Breath is usually available. I will be here in Santa Fe, tuning what I can tune, admitting what I cannot, and keeping a chair free for people who need a room that does not demand a performance. Until next time 🌙 — Sol
